David G. Plufka
 
David G. Plufka was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  He received his bachelor's degree from Ripon College in Ripon, Wisconsin, and his law degree in 1987 from Hamline University School of Law, in St. Paul, Minnesota.  He is licensed to practice law in Missouri and Illinois and has limited that practice to the area of workers' compensation law since coming to Missouri in 1987.
 
He began his legal career with the law firm of Evans & Dixon, L.L.C. in 1987.  He left that firm in 1991 to join Keefe & Griffiths, P.C.. In 1999, he was made a partner.
 
He has written and lectured on numerous workers' compensation topics. He has contributed to continuing legal education seminars sponsored by the Missouri Bar, The University of Missouri Kansas City Law School, and Kids' Chance Incorporated of Missouri (a not-for-profit organization that raises and distributes scholarship money for children of seriously injured workers).  In the Fall of 2002, his article "A Light at the End of the (Carpal) Tunnel?"  was published in the St. Louis Bar Journal.  In association with other attorneys, he has helped edit and publish an annual update of the Workers' Compensation Law as well as a Statute Hand Book published on behalf of Kid's Chance of Missouri.
 
He is a member of the Missouri Bar Association, The Illinois State Bar Association, The Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, The Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys and The American Trial Lawyers Association.
 
Mr. Plufka lives in Brentwood, Missouri with his wife and two children.
